Safety Net for Foreign Student Living in Japan

According to the data provided from Ministry of education, 313,214 foreign students is living in Japan in 2015 May. It has increased 4.4% from the previous year. It is expected that more foreign students will come to Japan. Medical Insurance
Up to 100% of the actual medical fees for illness and injury that occurred within Japan within the covered period will be reimbursed. (100% for ST-MED100 plan. up to 30% for ST-MED 30 plan)
Life Insurance
Benefits will be paid when the insured (foreign student) dies within Japan within the covered period.
Specified Disability Plan
Benefits will be paid when the insured student is stricken with a specific disability within 180 days from physical injury inflicted by unforeseen accidents which occurred within Japan within the covered period.
Emergency Plan
When the insured person dies or is in grave condition, benefits will be paid for costs of travel and accommodation for family members to come to Japan, transporting deceased back to his/her home country and disposing things left behind by the deceased. Priority amount of 200,000 yen to cover extra expensees will be paid to the person or school bearing costs.

ST-MED100 Medical Insurance(100%)+ Life Insurance

Those who have a visa up to 3 months cannot enlist in the National Health Insurance. Therefore Viva Vida’s short plan is strongly recommended to buy because 100% of medical fee is insured.。
