These doctors are sympathetic to the needs of foreign clientele and are are ready to help.

Ginza Yasue Clinic

Features

GINZA YASUE CLINIC is located in Tokyo’s Ginza district and has been serving the needs of patients since 2012. Dr. Shintaro Yasue speaks fluent English and sees many foreign patients on a daily basis, especially for diabetes, cardiac disease and sleep apnea syndrome. The main consulting room has a dignified atmosphere so that their patients can feel relaxed like being at their friend’s house. At GYC your health records are shown on a 52-inch screen, and, with a state-of-the-art IT environment, they can present your examination results (X-ray, ultrasound, etc.) shortly after the tests.

Five reasons to choose Ginza Yasue Clinic

  • Medical care by a medical specialist

It is desirable to have medical care by a medical specialist in each field as the medical care is highly developed

today. Becoming a medical specialist requires multiyear training at designated hospitals, high-quality

reports on training results and the passing of both oral and written tests. GYC provides medical care by a specialist of cardiac disease and diabetes.

  • Significance of a specialist in both cardiac disease and diabetes

Cardiac diseases such as heart attacks or angina rank the second-most-common cause of death among Japanese (The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, 2010). Also, the diabetes population in Japan is 10.7 million, the sixth-highest in the world (International Diabetes Federation “Diabetes Atlas,” 5th edition, 2011). These figures show how much two diseases are threatening our health and the provision of the appropriate prevention or treatment is essential. Besides, diabetes is an extremely significant risk factor for cardiac diseases (arteriosclerosis). As such, these two diseases cannot be separately considered, and a double specialist in these two diseases is required. There are only 12 double specialists in Tokyo’s 23 wards, and they are the first clinic with a double specialist in the areas of Chuo Ward,Chiyoda Ward and Koto Ward as of Mar 2012.

  • Mental and behavioral support

Lifestyle-related diseases such as diabetes cannot be cured just by explaining examination results and prescribing medicines. The key to the treatment is to respect each patient as ones with different lifestyles and values and lead them to control themselves. GYC offers careful mental support like evaluating the mental stage of each patient and having group discussions with a clinical psychotherapist.

  • Immunotherapy/Allergies: Detecting allergens is the starting point for allergy treatment. You can choose 39 allergens by blood examination. To overcome allergy diseases such as asthma, rhinitis, pollen, atopic dermatitis, hives and metal allergies, we can choose immunotherapy and biopharmaceuticals, as well as select effective drugs from a wide variety of medicines. Immunotherapy includes subcutaneous (mites/cedar/trees/grass/weeds/animals) and sublingual (mites/cedar).
  • ENT: This covers hearing loss, vertigo or dizziness, olfactory taste disorder, sleep apnea, stuffy noses and sore throat. The Otsuka clinic’s otolaryngologists use microscopes, CTs and CO2 lasers in patient care. CO2 laser treatment of nasal mucosa prevents seasonal or year-round allergic rhinitis. Sleep apnea home testing can be scheduled and nasal CPAP or mouthpiece sprint treatment can be offered in cooperation with the dental division of our clinics.
  • Pediatrics: Dr. Oshima, who studied in Los Angeles, is in the Otsuka office on Monday and Friday mornings. You can consult on growth, nutrition, allergies and vaccination schedules. Infant checkups are also welcome.

For Adults: Our clinic provides vaccines for the flu, COVID-19, hepatitis (HAV/HBV), HPV, pneumococcus, shingles and meningitis. We conduct various social medical examinations, and medical certificates can also be issued.

  • Telemedicine:

We actively utilize telemedicine. You can contact a medical doctor when you cannot go visit our clinics due to work, child care, nursing care, physical condition or infection. If there is a possibility of viral infection, we first conduct a remote medical consultation in order to minimize waiting time at our clinics. As the prescription will be sent to a pharmacy near you, you can pick up medicine without visiting our clinic.
