Grand Hyatt Tokyo is joining Pokémon’s 30th anniversary celebrations with two summer stay packages, which invite guests to embark on a captivating adventure with their favorite Pokémon in the heart of downtown Tokyo. Available from June 20 to August 26, these stay packages feature decorations inspired by a selection of iconic Pokémon, as well as unique collaboration amenities and Pokémon-inspired dining. 

Since its first release in 1996, Pokémon has captured the hearts of multiple generations of fans around the world. To mark the 30th anniversary of this iconic franchise, Grand Hyatt Tokyo’s stay packages offer adventure-themed experiences for all ages, from adult fans of the original games to young guests discovering Pokémon for the first time. Pokémon 30th Anniversary Grand Adventure Suite

Grand Hyatt Tokyo’s 30th anniversary collaboration with Pokémon is led by the unique Pokémon 30th Anniversary Grand Adventure Suite, which immerses one group of guests per night in a memorable adventure filled with cute Pokémon encounters.

The hotel’s Chairman Suite has been transformed into a Pokémon-themed adventure, with different types of Pokémon to encounter as guests move through the suite. The journey begins as soon as guests open the door to a captivating green space filled with 30 Pikachu plushies, including a Pikachu setting off on an adventure in a hot air balloon. 

The 120 square meter suite’s living room, bedroom and bathroom have been reimagined as ideal habitats for an iconic selection of Grass-type, Fire-type and Water-type Pokémon. Guests can discover some of their favorite Pokémon in each space, with Grass-type Pokémon such as Bulbasaur and Tangela in the living room, Fire-type Pokémon such as Charmander and Vulpix in the bedroom, and Water-type Pokémon such as Squirtle and Lapras in the bathroom. 

During their stay, guests can also explore in-room dinner and breakfast plans inspired by Pokémon. For dinner, an all-yellow Flying Pikachu Gourmet Burger set provides moments of indulgence, with a gourmet burger and ketchup sauce accompanied by curry fries and a charming Pikachu Yellow Soda. After a restful night’s sleep, guests can wake up to an in-room American breakfast set featuring our original Pikachu pancakes. 

This stay package also includes a selection of original collaboration amenities designed to support guests throughout their summer adventures in Tokyo, including a passport case, cushion, polo shirt and outdoor lamp featuring an original Pokémon x Grand Hyatt Tokyo anniversary logo. Guests can also take home a 30th anniversary talking Pikachu figure and plush toys of Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle.

Pokémon 30th Anniversary Grand Adventure Stay

Elsewhere in the hotel, our Pokémon 30th Anniversary Grand Adventure Stay package offers an immersive Pokémon-themed experience for a limited number of eight rooms per night. Each of the rooms includes natural decorations and Pokémon design motifs, as well as artwork inspired by an iconic selection of Pokémon. 

For breakfast, guests can experience a set menu that combines original pancakes with a flying Pikachu stamp and The French Kitchen’s popular breakfast buffet, which features a wide selection of freshly made dishes including French toast, waffles and eggs served from our bustling open kitchen. A Pokémon-themed passport case, t-shirt, hat and tote bag allow guests to take the Pokémon celebrations on the road as they continue their adventure around Japan.
