TREE by NAKED Yoyogi Park is the artistic cuisine produced by creative company NAKED Inc, the company behind such projects as the 2014 Tokyo Station Projection Mapping Show “TOKYO HIKARI VISION,” Enoshima Aquariums “Night Aquarium” and the pre-cherry blossom viewing show “FLOWERS by NAKED.”
Projections, virtual reality, sensors, smoke, scents, illuminations, music and seasonal ingredients are used to accompany the story “Scenes of Life” which follows the story of the growth of a tree from sprout to maturity to provide a completely new form of artistic dining.
The TREE by NAKED course is only limited to 8 groups a day and provides 8 plates of Japanese-style fusion courses with pairing drinks for ¥23,000. The course is overseen by Hiroto Etohito, the chef of the Brooklyn-styled restaurant, Hoff Restaurant and Bar, located in Hatsudai, Shibuya.
Virtual reality projections and the first plate placed in front of the customer begin the story with the first stage, “Birth.” Upon removing the VR goggles, patrons are treated to the first appetizer of the course, which begins from the growth of a seed.
The next stage features “Spur” from the outside world. The course then advances to “Expansion” in which fish and a playful change of seasons move the course to “Phantasm,” the recesses of the mysterious forest, “Unity” the blessing of life and “Rebirth,” the forbidden fruit in paradise.
The dishes provided at each stage perfectly match the theme of the story.
The traditional arts are expressed through the medium of traditional incense and the four seasons, ingredients such as wagyu beef and Japanese tea are incorporated with traditional Japanese culture into a dinner course under high demand from overseas customers. Bookings are already rapidly increasing.
From the moment you enter to the moment you leave, you are taken to another world. TREE by NAKED Yoyogi Park provides a haven that will provide never ending surprises and wonder and an experience customers will never forget.
